We are a collective of artists, writers, and creatives. Initiated and organized by the   Valenzuela Arts and Literary Society, we sought collaboration beyond the borders of our city and the physical limitations brought by the virus. In cultivating this communal garden, we share both the labor and the fruits.

Collective effort is necessary in resisting oppressive control: in the manipulated echo chambers of social media algorithms, in the national government's incessant gaslighting and redtagging of its citizens, and in the continuous acts of state-sponsored police and military violence.

But art and literature can be complicit as much as it resists. The internet remains far removed from the realities of struggle. In exploring the simulated pathways and grounds we lay here, there is the call to take to the streets as well.
